eKYC is the electronic process of identifying and verifying a customer’s identity. This requirement is part of the Anti‑Money Laundering Act. Prudential is obligated to verify customer information to ensure the individual truly exists and intends to conduct transactions with the company, in accordance with anti-money laundering regulations.

Identity verification protects the data owner and prevents others from impersonating you. By verifying your identity, you can securely access policy services and fully receive the benefits under your policy.

  • New customers who purchase life insurance or unit‑linked life insurance from 25 September 2021 onward
  • Existing customers who wish to perform transactions valued over THB 100,000, such as: 
    • Filing a claim
    • Using policy rights (e.g., policy loans, cancellations, surrenders, etc.)

Yes. Electronic identity verification meets international security standards. Prudential also has strict measures to safeguard your information in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Identity verification follows AML rules and scheduled customer data review periods. Prudential will notify you when it is time to update or reconfirm your information as required by law.
