  • A life insurance policy is a contract in which the insurance company agrees to pay a specified amount of money to the insured person, the beneficiary, or the legal heir when an event stated in the policy occurs. In return, the insured is responsible for paying premiums as required under the policy terms.
  • Life insurance also serves as a savings plan combined with life protection, where the insured can choose both the sum assured and the duration of coverage.

1. Whole Life Insurance

Provides life coverage up to age 90 or beyond.
If the insured passes away while the policy is in force, the company will pay the benefits specified in the policy to the beneficiary. If the insured survives to the end of the policy term, the company will pay the benefits as stated in the policy conditions.

2. Endowment Insurance

Provides life protection combined with savings.
The company will pay benefits specified in the policy to the insured while they are still alive, and will pay benefits to the beneficiary if the insured passes away during the coverage period.

3. Term Insurance

Provides life coverage for a specific period.
The company will pay the benefit to the beneficiary if the insured passes away within the policy term.
This type of insurance aims to protect against premature death. It does not include a savings component, so premiums are generally lower than other types and no maturity benefit is paid if the insured survives to the end of the term.
