Mr. Bundit Jiamanukoonkit, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Thailand, officially presented the accident insurance policies to 80,000 outdoor staff and workers from the BMA and public hospitals. The total coverage amounts to 8 billion baht, with a protection period of one year. Representing the Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Pimuk Simaroj, Secretary to the Governor, accepted the policies, joined by hospital executives from Siriraj Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital, Srithanya Hospital, Vajira Hospital, and Sampran Hospital. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Chuchat Pramunphon, Secretary-General of the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), along with senior executives from Prudential’s bancassurance partners, including TMBThanachart Bank, UOB Thailand, and CIMB Thai Bank. The event took place at Siam Pavalai Cinema, 6th floor, Siam Paragon, Pathumwan District.
This policy handover was part of “Prudential Thailand’s Townhall Meeting & Sustainability Day,” which brought together Prudential’s leadership and employees to reaffirm their commitment to sustainability in action. The event featured a panel discussion led by Mr. Bundit Jiamanukoonkit on the topic “Give the Future,” joined by Ms. Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok; Clinical Professor Arthit Angkananon, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital; and Mr. Thakorn Piyapan, President of TMBThanachart Bank. The panel explored the roles and challenges faced by vulnerable groups—such as outdoor staff and workers of the BMA and public hospitals—and emphasized the importance of equitable access to insurance for these communities. Prudential remains committed to continuing the “Give the Future” initiative annually, with plans to expand its reach to other vulnerable groups, reinforcing the true meaning of sustainable giving.
